Pls I constructed a chopper circuit(oscillator) and was able to generate a pulse..but the output voltage is not big enough to light up the 12vdc bulb..what do I do..?

The output pulse voltage is 5v I really dont know the exact output current..i have a 12vdc source and i needto to drive the 12vdc bulb with the pulse signal..so the 12vdc bulb can go on and off as well..frequency of pulse is 2hz

Connect :-
the FET gate to pin 3 of the 555,
the FET source to ground,
the bulb between the FET drain and the 12V supply.
Remove the 7805 regulator.
Drive pins 4 and 8 of the 555 directly with the 12V supply.
Wow...perfect...it worked just fine..thought the 555 cant operate on 12v..thanks..

Its data sheet tells all.
Yh...guess I misssed out..actually that was first stage..now i have my pulse signal able to light up the 12v bulb..the initial plan was having 2 12vbulb..bulb A flashes 5 times and stops b alsso flashes 5 times and stops then A and B flashes 5 times and stops..then it recycles if possible..i've got couples of relays and timers..i already generated pulse that can help make the bulb go on and off..
