Vintage electronics - Old Time Clock machine - where to start ?

Do you still have the original motor?
No. I dissected it trying to make it work and exploring how it works. I see these time clocks (although not quite as old as mine) at antique shows. Same motors. Got lucky and found one in a pile of junk in the 3$ box.
