I was told this is not possible, it will not work and other attempts to hide this information, since people are afraid od something.

I am trying to connect an external video card through expresscard. I was told the speed is TOO little, ot does not work, but according to my research it should work.

The express card is connected to the PCI BUS( speed 1gb/s, given that PCI x1 has the same speed effectively and 250mb/s real), there are adapters that transform it to USB 3 and from there I see no reason why shouldn't I use a riser for 10 usd instead of connecting the riser to the wifi-card's PCI x1 slot. What are your thoughts on this?

 

On top of that I am checking the speeds of eSATA and my eSATA port should be able to deliver 6Gbits per second, which is not the 16GBytes of PCI x 16, but it sure is as good as a PCI x 1 with its 250MBytes/s.
