But I don't understand how Pico can drive such low impedances... as 50 ohms. Current supported on Pico GPIO pins is 8mA.
Can someone tell me if it's safe to connect the VSync and HSync VGA lines to Pico pins through 47 ohms resistors ?
That guy from the link already did this and it's working, but I don't understand how it is possible...

Very impressive. I did the same thing with an STM32F407 but in monochrome.

 

He uses 330Ω series resistors to the VGA pins.
This reduces to GPIO signals to about 0.6V.

 

330 ohms on the R G B pins, but the HSYNC and VSYNC are connected directly... Those not draw too much current ?
