hello,

I have to replace a variable resistor (preset) which got broken on a PCB. However since it is completely disassembled, I cannot determine its value by using a multimeter. Fortunately there is a code on it. The code is 473ABR.

Can anyone tell me the value of this v. resistor?

Is there a way to know the wattage rating of the variable resistor?

In fact the variable resistor is of the preset type (the very small one) and the PCB onto which it is, contains the circuitry of a motor (from a kitchen appliance, a food processor to be more precise). The VR is moved by an external knob that is supposed to control the speed of the motor.

So according to you, what is the most probable wattage rating of this VR?

thanks
