How many countries celebrate Valentine's Day?

I was listening to a story on PBS, apparently it is the #1 chocolate holiday in Japan.

I heard the same story. They also say that the women give to the men. And also, they feel bad for men that receive no chocolate, so they give to all.

 

I think it's easier to ask "How many do not celebrate Valentine's Day"

 

As well to ask, "who cares?". It 's early, but we did grilled portabella caps with onions, cheese , and white truffle oil, plus mussels and salami and cheese for munchies tonight.
And a bit too much wine.

They can all access this forum, but for some reason the UK, India, and a smattering of western Asian countries seem to the ones who groove in on us.

Probably just as well, in light of the recent DOS attacks.

Ever since St. Valentine died on February 14, 269 AD, people have been giving their loved ones Valentines and roses and other things to show their feelings toward them. Countries include Italy, UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, Mexico, France, Germany, Austria, Spain and Japan, Panama, Korea and Latin America. In Japan the women buy chocolates for the men/boyfriends on that day.

I would assume more Hindu and Islamic countries do not.
