I believe this is the correct category for this question?
firstly, I have never used LabVIEW before, but to test/verify my college senior design project (EENG) I need to construct a test jig with 24 strain gauges. For this I acquired three 6020e DAQPads that I hope to use.
I'm using LabVIEW 2018, on a windows 10 pc. I cant seem to get them to be detected, as i don't think DAQmx supports these "vintage" units, and i assume that this current version of LabVIEW does not either, without some special changes . Looking around, i believe i need the NI-DAQ 7.4.4 drivers. however, when i tried to install them, they are not able to be installed due to an incompatible OS (wants XP or older), not even when i tried to trick them using windows compatibility mode.
my question is whether or not I could get these to work in my current setup (and how would i be able to accomplish this) - which would be ideal, or do i need to find an old xp laptop and load all the software onto that (with a older version of LabVIEW etc.)? I would much prefer to get it working using my current setup and laptop, and as mentioned i have little experience in LabVIEW so any recommendations are appreciated. thanks.
