He also explains capacitors and electricity in general. Great guy with a sense of humour. Reccomend him.
That article, and Bill Beaty's work in general, has been known to cause a few "heated" discussions over the years here on AAC - that is, however, not a discussion for this thread. That said, Bill is a member of this forum, even though he hasn't posted here in years.

Beatty may be entertaining, but hardly relevant. Whenever you find some "explanation" that is at odds with convention, expect that the author has an agenda, rather than inspiration.

I don't know, I read many different electronics and electricity books and articles and I don't see what is so radical about his explanations. He pretty much says what everyone else says.

The only fault I found with him is saying that some explanation is revolutionary when in fact its taught in many standard books. I find his explanations easier to understand than some others, of course All about circuits is easy to understand too. ;)
