I am looking to PU one of the USB to RS232 cables in order to use a older piece of equipment with PC win10.
Has anyone found a limit as to how low you can go for the Baud rate using these USB cable units etc?

Hi Max, Using an FT232RL and teraterm on a windows 11 system it woks down to 110 bauds, Just echoing characters with RX and TX connected together. If you need me to confirm that it is 110 bauds at the TX / RX connections I can check it with a scope. Let me know if you need me to do this test.
Edit. I have just checked with a scope. when I st the baud rate to 110 it is actually running at 115200 bauds. Settig it to 300 bauds it does work at the correct speed.

OK thanks, For $10. I maybe will pick one of the converter cables and try it, as long as it works down to 300 baud it should be OK.
