I am planning a move to Germany and plan to bring a Bauer Li-ion cordless drill with me. The charger indicates it needs 120V 60Hz, so I know I need to use a transformer, but should I expect any issues with running it on 50Hz vs 60Hz?

 

If the charger uses a transformer directly from the input voltage there might be a problem.
If it uses a switch mode supply inside then there will be no problem with the frequency.

 

I will try to get inside to see if there is a transformer in there. Thanks.

 

Chances are if it's recent enough to use Li-ion it is probably switch mode.
