And got me to thinking if I should upgrade my DS1102E. 100mhz. It is a good scope and pretty much serves my needs. A scope with deeper memory would be nice but I rarely, if ever, want to see more than what is presented on the display. A larger higher res display would be nice.

I do mostly digital work and if I need to sample data then I use my logic analyzer. I have most of the protocols so interpreting the data becomes pretty simple. What would be nice is to have deeper memory on the Zeroplus Logic Analyzer. Upgrade that instead. Thing is I rarely use it. I use the scope far more often. But when I do use it, I always wished I had more memory.

I guess what I am fishing for here is a reason to buy a new toy. ;)

So new scope or new logic analyzer?

Set the money aside now and upgrade when you actually need it (if ever).
