I believe you are right, there were several severed ribbon cables laying around the panel. This PCB belongs to a "control" panel that uses the switches and some potentiometers to send signals. The LEDs I believe were used for feedbacks from sensors.It's a 64 pin Molex type connector. There would have been a ribbon cable attached to the plug going into it. Welcome to AAC!
Thanks. I will look into it.It may be something like this but you would need to check the dimensions. Your part appears to have slim pins like some VXI back plane connectors I have seen.

And they are available in many configurations, so pay attention when ordering.
