i got in my car to go home there was a note saying I should stop by my buddy’s office. So then he gives me this gift! Wow I’ve always wanted one of these. It’s a silicon mat for electronics.


I recently fixed his preamp for his stereo which he told me would have cost him $350 through a shop. He had a cap issue which caused the DC power for his relay to malfunction. Beautiful circuitry and only took me a few hours

I didn’t expect any payment. I just like taking things apart and seeing new stuff sometimes... especially high end audio gear.

Seriously now, what's that mat's general dimensions?

 

It’s this one. Not the largest but it’s a good size for the small boards I work on.

 

I wanted to order one before but couldn’t picture (it’s in mm) and hard to decide which one to get. It’s a good size. I’ll order the largest one one of these days but this is perfect for working on thing about a size of your phone and maybe even a little larger.

I’ll try to get some pictures later with tools and stuff on it.

It’s just under 18”x 12” for those of us who are more used to standard measurements.
