I miss that magazine.I learned a lot from them while growing up.This comes in two parts a really loud sonic generator will aggravate teenagers who still have their hearing ansddogs/cats rodents and other pests(like teens. I had alot of fun with Ultrasonics in college. Many times you can hear it and not be able to telll where it is coming from, physiological effects include mood shits. Ever have that spooky feeling some one is looking over your shoulder?the right freq will induce that.

Why not just build flip-flip at 19kHz, 100 W audio amp, and hit teenagers with it when they are too loud?..

 

I used an old audio oscillator to feed a horn tweeter directly. Piezo element. Performed wonderfully.
Hung the wires out the bedroom window, which was 10 ft from neighbors backyard. Every time I tried to nap their dog would get to barking at a squirrel so I would turn on the oscillator and when it had warmed up(took a couple min.) I plugged in the speaker leads and cranked the amplitude adjust to 11. Ran it about 19 to 20 k, just above where u could barely hear it.

The dog left the area when I did it.

 

That is something we did in the dorm but flip flops are not oscillators 555s are. Struggling through the brain fog at the moment used to be able to do this in my sleep.

Iamnot happy with th freq range so I will play with the componens a bit more and repost the schematicit the low frequency is s bit high. When adjusting it statrrt with the lowest freq and slowly adjust it up until it fades from audibility.At this pointyou have either gone beyond your hi freq hearing range or the stereo amps, maybe both. Certain freqs will affect you in different ways,so play around with it

I think intentionally inflicting pain on humans and animals is kind of an unworthy enterprise. Aren't we supposed to be better than that? As a group, listening to some of the stories advanced by members of this forum, it seems we might be a bit more sensitive to the types of pain people inflict on others. I'm not impressed with your collective lack of humanity.

 

If the parents want to leave a squallin infant at the far end of their backyard so that it might get as close as possible to my bedroom window, then I would call the parents child rearing skills deficient.

As for inflicting pain, the sound was irritating at 14 kilohertz but I wouldn't call the audio oscillator max output pain inducing.

If your going to see evil intent in my actions then indulge your dark fantasy to the fullest. Embrace your pessimistic view of mankind so you might feel superior to those you are certain are less moral or wise. Says more about your personality than you realize.

OK the articl in question filled a spce with sonic energy hopefully undetectable. if some moved in there there woul be a Doppler shift which is detectable. Basically primitive SONAR.

Very close. The original article used two outdoor speakers one as an emitter one as an microphone(Excellent camouflage, I am fascinated by physiological effects hi freq can cause it does not have to be painful. Though we see ads about it being used on rodents and insects, Even against teens congregating. in places they are not welcome.My thought is people can experiment for themselves. No permission needed.I found the mood shifts fascinating.
