24v 8A intellicharger has a parasitic load when finished charging, and does not restart charge on low battery. i want to outomate charger isolation after charging stops. can't easily get 10A scr or bjt. mosfet might not isolate? not sure what to do. pls advise, inc heatsink specs for 40degc operation without fan.. australia.

Doe the charger give any indication (such as turning a light on or off) when it is finished charging that could be used to control a relay or cutoff circuit?

This, to me, sounds like one of his other recent treads, where he was told he needed a new battery. Blaming a charger for a "Parasitic" problem, doesn't seem quite right. Not when the other thread made all the points of a bad battery.

Well, it necessarily stops charging which seems a fitting signal all on its own. It will require a little manual intervention to start the process but then when the charging current stops, click.

My question weas for the TS, but that is true.
However I was looking for a signal to control the cutoff circuit that was easier to detect then just the stopping of the charge, which likely would require a current-sensor of some sort.
