Trouble with capacitor values on this circuit.

So I've been trying to put together a simple battery powered intercom after some feeble attempts on my own, I found this circuit. However, the values for the capacitors are not clear. There are three, (.22, 47, 1000). Are those µF or pF values?
I am hoping somebody more familiar with circuits will look at this and be able to help me out. Thanks!

Capacitor values are considered to be in uF in electrolytic capacitors, but they can be in nF or pF in other types (chances are to be in pF). This is really a defective schematic, as at least the order of magnitude should be indicated. Other essential (in my point of view) values such ass tolerance and ratings are not indicated as well, and they should be too.
