Trouble with audio terminoligy

I am customizing an ASOC SOC audio configuration file. In the file there are multiple section controls for switches but tbh I am not sure what I should turn on, never been an audio guy. I can tell you the speaker the unit is using seems very basic, no bigger than a half dollar. All I need is a basic beep. Here are the controls I dont know what to do with:

Left Mixer Right Bypass Switch
Left Mixer Left Bypass Switch

Mono Mixer Left Playback Switch
Mono Mixer Right Playback Switch

Left Mixer Playback Switch
Right Mixer Playback Switch

Right Mixer Right Bypass Switch
Right Mixer Left Bypass Switch

Mono Mixer Right Bypass Switch
Mono Mixer Left Bypass Switch

Right Mixer Left Playback Switch
Left Mixer Right Playback Switch

These values can be set to true or false but like I said, I dont know what to set them to.

EDIT: If Left Mixer Right Playback Switch and Left Mixer Playback Switch are on I can get a beep.. but why? Why do those two, specifically, need to be turned on?
