I has come to my attention that my post count now exceeds 2,500 counted posts -- Inasmuch as said count must have been attained several hours ago, it seems the 2,500 post trophy is not working?...

While 'no big deal' on the face of it - I feel, inasmuch as 'minor symptoms' are often harbingers graver issues, this should be reported... Moreover, while 30 trophy points are, IMO, irrelevant - 'rank promotion' (if applicable) is nice (albeit non-essential) for its perception as a 'measure of integrity' (in the eyes of many)...

It would appear that trophy points are awarded in inverse proportion to posts. It seems that I have accumulated more than twice the amount Hypatia's Protege has earned. Maybe seniority is applied; so many points awarded each year as a consolation for contributing very little to the various fora.

Indeed, certain trophies are tenure based -- CIP; 30 points, for instance, are (supposed to be) awarded for each of 8 years tenure and attainment of 2,500 counted posts (please see below)...

In all seriousness I can take or leave the 'trophies' -- I am a bit 'bummed', however, should the bug have likewise prevented a 'promotion' (a distinct possibility considering my other promotions were synchronized with trophies...) -- Yes! I know! It's a vanishingly petty matter at best - even so, right or wrong, 'user rank' equates to 'user competence' in the eyes of many!

Then too, it is good practice (from a system integrity/security standpoint) to investigate all bugs - no matter how seemingly inconsequential their presentation...

The schedule seems to make it clear that they are two distinct trophies but with the same point value -- to wit:
"8 Years at AAC!"
and
"2500 Posts!"

Being that you've three years tenure taken with the fact that you are (just) 'shy' of 10,000 counted posts -- the 'breakdown' should be as follows:

1 - (First post)
5 - Keeps coming back (30 counted posts)
10 - Can't Stop (100 counted posts)
15 - (500 counted posts)
25 - Addicted (1000 counted posts)
30 - (2,500) counted posts

So 1+5+10+15+25+30=86

Thus it seems you're ahead of the game!

You missed the page of the rules where members can trade points for promises to "Like" future posts. Eventually 99% of the points will be held by 1% of the members.

Hi HP,

I am sure you are kidding. There all lots of errors in the Trophy Points. I don't attribute that to any favoritism. I suspect they are manually counted and awarded whenever someone gets the time to look at them or when a member raises a question. The update interval seems at best to be irregular. You will be fixed soon.

Also @WBahn said exact same concern as you about little bugs can mean bigger problems. So @WBahn and @bertus know all about it but they don't say anything on your thread here which they must have seen! HP I say you have right to expect better courtesy than that!

It does seem a bit odd...

Well hey -- Instead of Pi$$ing and moaning and jumping leaping to conclusions, what say we take a positive tack

...It appears that the 30 points for 2500 posts is not being awarded, nor is the 100 points for 10,000 posts being awarded.

If wanted, we can have jrap have a look into the issue.
As far as I know, the trophy points can be recalculated.
