I don’t know exactly what i am looking for to get this working, i know there are small trigger remotes which control the camera snapshot of my phone, but i’m looking for a remote that will work with an app, the app is setup to work with remote option. The app has a counter from 0-5 it changes in sequence 0 through to 5 and i need to select which number by pressing a remote button. the app mentions using a FLIC but these are smart buttons and really expensive, i don’t want to do lots of functions, just the one. So my question is what should I be looking for, because i don’t know how this actually connects and works, i assume bluetooth.

Sorry about the confusion i didnt really explain very well i have an app on my samsung which is magic related. on my phone screen i have a counter which counts through 0-5 and i select a number by pressing for a keystroke on a remote button. i really just wanted to know if a circuit was possible to make and fit in to my own 3 d printed case

 

If I understand you correctly, you want to control a phone app, selecting one of five modes, with a simple remote button.
