The triangle is the Greek letter "Delta." It represents change. For example, if voltage changes from 3V to 5V, the \(\Delta\)V is 2.

Without wanting to complicate things, you may also come across the letter d used in these terms, as in dV = 0, and its meaning is as thingmaker3 describes above.

Depending on who you speak to, d should be used with respect to another variable, for example dV/dt = 0, means change in voltage in a particular (with respect to) time. Just be aware of the subtleties.
