treadmill, roger black, all on ,screen on ,red light steady blink

Hi, im new to forums in gereral so if im in the wrong place i apologise, got a treadmill with everything lit up but takes no input at the screen, there is power at all points where it should be, i've tested the motor and that works. At the d.c. end where the motor plugs to the board there is 160 + volts but as soon as i connect the motor the voltage disappears, im only testing with a multimeter, the thing is i only bought this machine with the intention of ripping out the motor for other projects but the kids want to use the thing for running , any help would be appreciated but if i fail to get it going then no great loss, thanks in advance.
