I don't know how to approach the circuit. From my experience in Transient Analysis I have been able to simplify circuits and just apply the same equations. But here the closing position has confused me. How should I approach it?

 

Can you find what the capacitor voltage is just before the switch is closed?

What do you know about the voltage across a capacitor in terms of it's ability to change instantly?
