Changing the SPICE Integration Method from "modified trap" to "Gear" can help to reduce hangups.

Another trick is to reduce the SPICE accuracy tolerances by a factor of 10 for all the simulation parameters (right column below).
That will, of course, reduce the accuracy of the simulation, but that is probably not a problem with this circuit.
