Hi, everyone. I am currently doing a power supply research for my final year project but I found out that a transformer would not be able to produce a sinusoidal secondary voltage while it is connected onto a load.

 

The transformer that i used is a Myra 45059. The voltage waveform was taken by a Tektronix TPS 2014. A load will be connected to a load which draw 0.52 A. Please refer to the datasheet provided and the voltage output that I have provided. The voltage for CH1 is the voltage output from the secondary of the step down transformer. Thank you.
