Touch sensitive lamp mystery - on almost every morning

Some touch control lights will be triggered by external radio frequency signals, as well as noise on the power supply.
This! I know that mine is very sensitive to power burps and line noise. When it does it, it always comes up on the lowest setting. You may want to try a simple AC line filter.

It is entirely possible that your loacl power utility makes a "Tap change" voltage adjustment on most mornings. That glitch would cause the problem. But the solution is not that simple.

I hadn't thought about that. It could explain the phenomena. However, why is it only a recent occurrence? Maybe the circuitry is degrading?

WAIT! Just had an epiphany: My neighbor just installed a Tesla battery. Some time ago I was talking with a linesman regarding the transformer on the pole. He said it's close to its max. I wonder if the addition of the battery next door, same transformer as I'm on, may be drawing current causing the need for this switching. I don't know this for a fact - I just wonder.

A TESLA BATTERY???? OR is it a Tesla Battery Charger?? Quite a big difference!!
A charger for an electric vehicle battery is often prorammed to charge late at night, and certainly it could be switching off early in the morning, and that would produce some sort of power "glitch", no doubt.

Certainly many areas do not have purely clean, noise -free power. A ferrite core choke installed on the power cord might possibly provide a solution.
AND, if the TS can get the use of a power fluctuation sensor/recorder, that might reveal a cause.

OK, now the confusion has an accurate name. BUT I am not familiar with it by that name, either. BUT I am guessing that it includes a battery charging system. AND that sort of system could cause a power glitch. Probably.

In the interest of clarity - my neighbor has solar panels AND is enrolled in a program with the power company where they can use the battery(ies) if they need extra power. I'm sure there is something to charge the batteries, that goes without saying. And I don't know how big the battery is. I haven't even seen it yet. Perhaps one day I'll get one of my own.

The light still continues to be on in the AM but the occurrences have happened less than when I started asking about it here. I've been derelict in setting up a 1:1 ferroresonant transformer but I am interested in using one of those clamp on ferrite beads I've gotten from other appliances just to see if that ends the issue.

Your cat is telling you to get up
Doesn't work. Cat in living room, me in bedroom. Every morning he comes up on the bed and lays along my right side and pushes his paws under my cheek and he sniffs and nuzzles my nose. DARN CAT!

edit: And now he's bothering me again. He HAS indoor-outdoor privileges, I've opened the kitty door lock and he can come and go as he pleases. Until nightfall. Then he comes in for the night. If he thinks he's going to be a stinker and stay out longer he ends up spending the whole night out until I get up in the morning.
