Tonight's Libation

Today, I'm drinking quarantinis. It's a standard martini, but I'm drinking at home -- alone.
À la Chloraseptic sans the phenols! Complete with a cure to the real problem (To wit: groundless hysteria) - I like it!

Then too it could double as a flame-thrower should the 'TP raiders' come a callin';)

Shall we pick a nit? It may burn in the throat but 80-proof liquor makes a poor Molotov cocktail.
Jack Daniels only 80 proof?! -- Another illusion shattered:( -- But then it seems a bottle of @Aleph(0)'s 'high-test' (el-cheapo swill) Polmos Spirytus (192 proof) Polish vodka may turn the trick! -- And, indeed, 'double' as hand sanitizer:cool:

HP plz stop b4 u cause run on Spirytus telling lurking numpties it's basically just 96% EtOH solution!
Yebut it's priced at Ca $20 per 750ml! IMNSHO it is hand sanitizer!

So yeah it's cheap like u say _swill_ but being potable it deserves better fate than disinfecting greasy paws of freaked out hoarders:rolleyes:
---EMPHASIS ADDED---

I dunno that I'd classify it as a 'potable' -- howbeit I sympathize with your point!:(

I worked for a company supplying the ethanol industry. Most of those customers sold to the fuel market but a few also had a business in potable alcohol. Drink the best and burn the rest.

One customer got a fairly large order for alcohol to go to Russia. It was to be dyed blue. After some head scratching and research, turned out they buyer was planning to import it as window cleaner. Then they could carbon treat or whatever and take out the dye. Boom, no taxes. Cheapest vodka in the world.

There were no repeat orders.

They said they are threatening closing Liquor stores, and not allowing guns? Hmm sounds like a good combination to me, what the corona doesn’t do we will to our selves.

I had a long call with a women’s trying to install a window sensor we shipped out, takes forever to input parameters into a legacy control panel. Anyhow, the liquor store, (ya they don’t sell in a Market here) State ran liquor Stores close at 7pm. So I jump in my car and race north of my house, because they don’t sell on Sunday. I arrive in time but a line of ten people are waiting to get in, a police officer is regulating people as one person leaves and one enters? So it’s the distance thing, Ok, I get it. Once I was in, suddenly I see empty shelfs? Apparently the Earth Quake busted all the bottles in the States Storehouse, I looked around for wine and couldn’t find any boxed wine it was all gone, WTF, I looked and luckily found a few boxes people missed, without hesitation I grabbed 3 boxes. So, how does the earth quake ruin boxed wine?

Suddenly, I realize I’m glad I purchased a Half Gal of Vodka Last week, even though I’ve given up the hard stuff, I like my wine.

I just wish I could drink Brandy, Cognac, Whisky I can tolerate. Brandy, I can’t because I over drank on one New Years and have never been able to palate the stuff.

Cheers,

Just received this text msge from my pal Nigel. :D

As we absorb the enormity of the events of the last few hours, (although these corny Corona video clips are taking on new ‘ not so funny’ overtones, ) I have to share a message which has certainly helped me
I heard a doctor on TV saying in this time of staying at home, we should all focus on inner peace.
To achieve this we should all finish things we have started.
I looked through my house and finished off a bottle of Merlot, a bottle of Chardnay, a bodle of Bailys, a Buttler of wum, the mainder of Valium scrip and a b0x of chocletz.
Yu has no idea how feckin Fablis I feel rite now.
Sned this to all who need inner piss an tellum u Luvum and to wash yer wands.
Stay safe averyboy.
Nigle
