After spending 45 days in Patagonia (working non-stop, with temperatures sometimes down to -7º C), yesterday I came back home and opened one Las Perdices malbec. Bought a case of 6 after getting one as a present from my son. Excellent!

From Mendoza, west of the country, not sure if available abroad.

Mendoza is where most of my current Argentinian wine comes from. Prices are $17 to $40 per bottle at the low end. One from Uco Valley (Altos las Hormigas, Gualtallary (Malbec)) was certainly good (about $34 USD), but I prefer the original Malbec Reserva from the same company.

Thanks for the recommendation. It is more than a crap shoot when buying from American dealers who ship to Ohio.

Sounds like a great idea.
Great Glass, I purchased some Moonshine, but it was awful. It was so sweet I couldn't drink it. It was also sort of thickish hated it. Never again. I stick with the real stuff no additives. On ice is perfect, I don't drink whiskey often, when I do it's on Ice.

1:45 in....... good movie by the way.

Good movie? I thought it was a horrible waste of talent. One movie I’ll never recommend.

Definitely not in good taste for some, but it echoed with things that happened, that could be caught on tape. e.g. Maybe Nixon or Kennedy, his brothers etc. then you have a cult, with Hollywood killings, Charles Manson. Putting Jeff Bridges and a FBI or CIA together to build a plot? Definitely a B movie but will have a cult following. I am also surprised you would have seen it.

The previews intrigued me. I was expecting either a psychological thriller, a Agatha Christie type movie or a caper movie. Although elements of all three were present, it had an identity crisis IMHO. In other words, it lacked a central theme. Again, it may have had one but it was ineffective in its realization. In addition the storytelling was too fragmented. Nice try, but tries often fail.

Thanks for your interest!;) -- Tonight I'm content to 'slum it' with a 1.75 litre plastic?! 'carboy' of 'Phillips Superior Quality Vodka' up to and including the point of unconsciousness and/or aspiration asphyxia -- But hey! It's four freaking times distilled and a snap at Ca. $15 per 1.75L;) -- Someone told me there'd be days like thiso_O:rolleyes:

Best regards

There are indeed days like this but take it slow drinking that and vent away if needed.

Is this a cry for help?
are you just venting?
take it slow drinking that
Not to worry... 'Tis merely party time!:D --- As regards the (very real) perils of 'binge drinking' -- I expect endocrine disruptors leached from the polymer container pose significantly greater long-term health hazards than does the 40% EtOH solution that dares call itself 'quality liquor' --- Anyway, I never exceed 'ten fingers' and that volume only upon exceedingly rare occasions (that I somehow seem to have forgot?:confused:o_O)

PS --- I kid you not! The bottle is fashioned of polyethylene! -- What's the world coming to?! SMH

Years ago, the director of our mass spectrometer center was a new mom. She tested what milk extracted from the then new collapsible bottle liners. A lot. She refused to use them.
As for polystyrene (beaded foam) cups, I would never use them for anything alcoholic, including beer.
