If an American court ruled it was an illness, it would be covered by ADA. What reasonable accommodation would you like made for your alcoholic neurosurgeon? Operate only on Wednesdays?

If that's the case his hands would be shaking - Bad. Worse he has to take a drink to stop shaking, now rather than a hand slip to bleed to death, then rather than non-invasive surgery, he removes you'er frontal lobes.

Been there, done that.*

BTW, As I prepare for the holidays, I usually send some wine to my children. @cmartinez recommended a wine from Baja, "Vino de Piedra." I have been unable to find a single importer of wine from Mexico, much less, Baja. Total Wines and Wines.com have been no help. Also, America's laws on shipping alcoholic beverages are arcane to say the least.

I just polished off a bottle of Barefoot last night, dang it's expensive. I always purchase cheap wines they can sell, I figure it's cheap but, it doesn't mean I can't serve it to everyone cost effectively.

Yeah, I'm cheap. Look at the label, it's gotta be good somewhere.

Edit: When I say cheap, I mean what the general public knows nothing about and refuse to buy, so it goes on sale. I've got some that are tasty, like Vampire every year they purchase to much and I buy the whole lot thats left on sale.

"Him?" Three daughters (10 grandchildren) and one son (no grandchildren "to speak of"). The son is on a fellowship in Ahmedabad, India. So it's just her(s) this year.

I’m trying another craft beer. It’s made by Clown Shoes and is s double IPA. Normally I don’t like double IPAs, but this one is smoother than most. I can only order one or two, because at 9% ABV, it’ll kick you in the a$$.

That Clown Shoes logo looks very subliminal ... first time I've heard of the brand. As a general rule, I don't drink beer with an alcohol content higher than 6%... it makes me sleepy

It’s very good!

I generally don’t drink anything with an ABV under 6%, unless it’s past midnight and I want to slow down.

I wonder what they mean by 'Double IPA' ? I have found that with many craft beers, it seems to have just become a 'Buzz' word, when the product is not what I would really consider IPA.
The definition lies in the IBU's, International Bittering Units, and not many publish this as it requires complex analysis.
The considered highest is around 120 IBU.
Max.
