Re: Pronunciation

worcestershire
Think of that city in Massachusetts (or of a familiar Wodehouse character) + 1/2 of a pair of 'scissors' -- Hence, phonetically: woostershear:D

Hmm... Now I've got to wonder why 1/2 of a pair of scissors isn't merely a 'scissor':confused:o_O

Yea, ok! I'm starting early this weekend - but there it is:oops:

Best regards

So, a recipe I followed wants English Sauce but, all that returned was Worcestershire sauce, and a big deal about how many sauces the English are proud of ? I need a little help from someone who may know what the heck I'm supposed to use.

According to a search using 'cucharada de salsa inglesa' does bring up mostly Worcestershire Sauce, so this may be a Spanish interpretation of "English Sauce".;)

Tough call. There's another "English sauce" I've encountered that is similar to A1 sauce but milder and less tangy. Now that I think about it, it resembled A1 mixed with WS and then watered down.

I don't think you can go wrong assuming WS. After all, Aleph apparently drinks it diluted only slightly with alcohol. How bad can it be?

I'm doing the Gin with a Sprig of Rosemary. The aroma takes the bite out of the Gin, well done @cmartinez .
