Hello everyone,
I have a question regarding Texas Instrument's DRV8320 3ph. motor driver.
I have intended to ask this on their e2e forum, but their question review process is too slow.
Anyways, in their reference design, the smallest clearance in VQFN-40 packaged DRV8320 is 0.25mm.
Worst case scenario, voltage between two of the pins is 60V, and as such clearance according to IPC2221A is not enough.
Does anyone have an advice with dealing with such inconsistent clearance constraints?
Does the use of DRV8320 require the application of conformal coating (haven't seen it mentioned anywhere in the datasheet).
