Microsoft researchers said VALL-E 2 was capable of generating "accurate, natural speech in the exact voice of the original speaker, comparable to human performance," in a paper that appeared June 17 on the pre-print server arXiv. What's both cool and scary at the same time?
Watching the original John Wick on vacations while waiting for dinner reservation on vacation and having your 19yo co-watching daughter calmly naming each of the martial arts moves as Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Tae Kwon Do , etc... and knowing if leg/arm holds were for death or just knockouts. She was a first time watcher but didn't seem very interesting in the stupid revenge plot line for a dog and a car.
