"Regret for things we did is tempered by time," McDonald said, his expression firm. "But regret for things we did not do is inconsolable." McDonald then paused and added, "That's absolutely true."
https://www.opb.org/article/2021/03...s-down-around-federal-courthouse-in-portland/The attack on the courthouse came one day after authorities removed fencing initially erected over the summer, in response to continued riots following the death of George Floyd, an African American man killed during his arrest by Minneapolis police officers.
Exactly, burned and vandalized. On Tuesday, the Federal Protective Service confirmed it sees no reason to keep the fence up.
“We’re working with our partners and the community to return to a sense of normalcy.” said Robert Spurling, communications director for the Federal Protective Service. Spurling said the removal will take a couple of days.
“The courthouse will look just like it looked before.” he said.
Actually, I'm dying to know what would happen if said black hole is created...If the LHC ever creates a black hole there is nothing to worry.
Like flushing a toilet.Actually, I'm dying to know what would happen if said black hole is created...
There's essentially 0% chance of that happening, the LHC can't produce anywhere near the required energy densities. And even if some spectacularly improbable event occurred, like a high-energy cosmic gamma ray making it all the way through the atmosphere to the exact spot where a proton-proton collision is occurring, if a black hole were somehow formed it'd be a micro black hole, which would evaporate itself away almost instantly. Here is a sobering thought.
If the LHC ever creates a black hole there is nothing to worry.
We will never know.
Pandemic, economic crisis, and now the universe might come to an end... yet another reason to keep on partying...tonight is Earth's last night of existence.
