Been there, done that. Wife was writing out the monthly checks for bills and on the check to GA Power entered the balance in the checking account instead of the bill amount. Several days later the Bank calls because all of out checks were bouncing! What a mess... I don't think we got it back and it paid the power bill for a couple of months.

More than 1,000 celebrities, government employees and politicians who have received honours had their home and work addresses posted on a government website, the Guardian can reveal.

The accidental disclosure of the tranche of personal details is likely to be considered a significant security breach, particularly as senior police and Ministry of Defence staff were among those whose addresses were made public.

UPDATE Dec. 24:

Carol Doty received her refund from AT&T on Dec. 24.
Back when I was running my own business I had one of those "Brick Phones" in my work Van and also had regular phone with a cord in my Car. I got several calls that would only last less than a minute. The bill was $7,000 from AT&T, I told them I was going to take them to court because they called my phone over and over to drive the bill up. They removed the little less than a minute calls and my bill reduced to it's normal amount.

Been there, done that. Wife was writing out the monthly checks for bills and on the check to GA Power entered the balance in the checking account instead of the bill amount. Ya, had a similar experience with the Federal Bank, same business. A customer gives me a check for around $450 for a repair, not 3 days later I get a call from the bank that I was bouncing checks over and over. I told them they had cleared all the deposits made and I shouldn't have checks bouncing, I showed them my bookkeeping, they contacted the Federal Bank they said: Yes, one check for $450 didn't clear even though the funds were available, we found it was their mistake.

The bank had to clear all the bounced checks and pay all my creditors in my old account, which they allowed me to open a new account based on my current costs.

What a nightmare, glad it wasn't me doing all the work to straighten things out.

Back in the 60s when the banks were becoming computerized there would be a LOT of bookkeeping errors on accounts. When you went into the bank to have the errors corrected the stock response was "Oh well the COMPUTER made a mistake". At that point, I would tell them "No, computers don't make mistakes. They do exactly what they are told to do." Their response was best described as the "Clueless dumb blond look."

The problem was brought home by Twitter user @atomicthumbs, who works at an e-recycling facility. "This is the most environmentally unfriendly abuse and waste of perfectly good hardware I've seen in five years working at a recycler," he said in a series of tweets. "We could have sold these and ensured they were reused, as we do with all the working electronics we're able. Now we have to scrap them."

Lost our eldest daughter about five years ago to it now second daughter is going through Kemo, so this sounds promising!
Most likely inherited as their mother died of the same disease, :(

Thanks for sharing, Max. Here's hoping that all goes well with her treatment and enjoys a long and prosperous life... God bless.

Hope all goes well Max. I have beaten Cancer twice so far, prostate and unrelated to that a few years later had to have a kidney removed. Still being screened twice a year at the Mayo Clinic by chin to pelvis MRIs to check for metastatic growths with nothing found last several years now. On the other side of the coin, my immune system is attacking me. Took quite a while for it to be determined just what was going on. Psoriatic Arthritis which is being mostly held in check by weekly injections of Embrell which without being almost entirely covered by insurance would be ~$1500 a dose. Autoimmune systems are not very well understood by Doctors still.
