Welcome Hexreader.

I'm sure you'll feel very welcome here. :)

@R!f@@; thanks for the link. To me, I look at the beauty of the universe and that's proof enough that there's a creator.

Not just the physical beauty, but also the mathematical. Great beauty can be found even in simple equations...

Tell me your PIC, your TV remote, and what you want to do, and I will try to provide you with some code to do what you want.

Consider it an apology for being difficult
No need for apologies. I forgave u years ago :D. I don't hold grudges.

But I might take u on that remote offer though.

There was a recent program on about Voyager. I had no idea how special this event was. It was only possible due to an event that occurs only every 175 years and that is all of the gas giant planets being in the same area of space. Apparently most of the time they are in different areas of space in respect to the sun. Without them being where they were the experiment would not have been possible. It was possible by using the sling shot effect from the previous planet to get to the next.

As I said it occurs only every 175 years. They joked that the last time the effent occurred Thomas Jefferson was President and he blew his chance. :)

Which creator is the true creator? There are so many to choose from.
What if they are all the same Creator, just with different names?

If there was no creator, where did everything come from? I know it's cliche, but every single theory of how things came into being still come right back to this question. Tiny microbes (to evolve into humans, animals, birds, plants, etc) had to have come from somewhere, even if Evolution is true. If String Theory is true, it requires tiny particles to vibrate--where did the particles come from? The big bang--where did the chemicals come from? It all leads back to that same question. If there was nothing to create it, then how did it ever come into being?

Not trying to make this thread any more religious-based, I am just posing a simple question. I have no desire to turn this into an argument about religion.

Thanks for the link, R!f@@ :) Very interesting!

P.S. Hexreader, I do not mean this as something against you. You say you can't let R!f@@'s comments go unchallenged, and the reason I replied is because I couldn't let yours go either. You can't be sure a creator doesn't exist, I can't be sure a creator does exist. It's a matter of personal beliefs and faiths, but I have to say--you can't say that the truth is that there is no Creator. Keep that in mind.... ;)
By the way, welcome to AAC! :)

But if there is a creator, then where did the creator come from?

Having a creator does not solve the problem.

And I totally agree, neither side can prove the other side wrong. There is no solution to the question at present, and no sign that the question will ever be resolved.

you can't say that the truth is that there is no Creator
Agreed, I was just being overly controversial.

Hehe, good question. And that's where it ends. People who believe in the Creator believe he either created him/herself, was always there, or both. Everything we know has a beginning, but just because that's all we know doesn't mean that everything has to have a beginning.

I'm not arguing that there is a creator. I'm just trying to show you that you can never be sure, and that saying that "the truth is there is NOT a creator" is a very narrow-minded way of thinking, and is "100% wrong". You can't be sure, and you probably never will be. Same with me.

EDIT: Just read your edit, and now I feel like I'm the one being narrow-minded and rude. My apologies--that's not how I meant it :p

OK..
The creator created you.
Gave you ur will power and to ask questions.
Gave you everything you would need to survive and live.

Should you not be grateful or would you rather go up to him and ask him tht where did the creator came from?

Is it indeed ur place to ask such a thing?

Put aside the belief part..and just think logically for a second.

I am asking you ..IF, say, for argument sake, If you were created, would you dare ask the creator such a question, who could just as easily erase u?

If there is a creator, then I think that he/she/it would be big enough to not be offended, whatever I say or do.
Aaah..very good. :)

I am happy we are getting some where.

Like to ask you, Do you wonder why I congratulate you for being who you are ?
