Hi,

What is the difference between regular capacitor and polarized capacitor ?

What is so important about this fact ?

Thanks in advance.

I think the question should be
"What is the difference between a non polarized capacitor and polarized capacitor ?"

Polarized capacitor have polarity marking that is they have a positive terminal and a negative terminal ,and you can only apply voltage in one polarity,so they are used in DC circuits.

Non polarized capacitor have no polarity marking ,you can apply voltage in any polarity,so these are used in AC circuits.

Good luck
