I wonder what a turnpike would've looked like in those days...
Cobble-pike?
That's a Roman road with concrete curbs added.Cobble-pike?
Here's an interesting fact: the street where I live is named Via Valeria. In fact, all of the streets in my sector are named after "Via" Roman roads. That's a Roman road with concrete curbs added.
So, why didn't the officers get charged with violating the civil rights? After all, you are implying they violated the constitution. The main one would be the right to a trial before execution.
This is the on going law enforcement over all else mindset in practice. They are hired to arrest not execute. As time has gone by it is just getting worse. Even though you and your side in all of these type of debates won't allow that it is true. Just look at the fact of the FBI never has a "bad" shoot. They investigate themselves and never find against themselves. And that mentality has 'trickled down' to all law enforcement. I just hope and pray that neither you or nsa ever have a child or grandchild that gets in the "wrong place wrong time" situation. But then you guys would probably still say the cops were right. So, why didn't the officers get charged with violating the civil rights? After all, you are implying they violated the constitution.
If the thug had just stopped resisting arrest with an illegal gun then the thug would have just been arrested. It was totally on him, not the police in this case....

orSt. Anthony, Minn., police Officer Jeronimo Yanez is charged with second-degree manslaughter and two counts of dangerous discharge of a firearm in the July 6 shooting of Philando Castile.
This and the "blond" comment earlier makes you look like your playing to TCM. Like him disagreeing is not something you take well, whats next swearing and calling names? It completely makes you look foolish.
Talking about facts, how does him having a gun in his pants pocket, not out not pointing it at the cops justify them shooting him after they get him on the ground? They never saw him with a gun, it was just reported that he had a gun.If the thug had just stopped resisting arrest with an illegal gun then the thug would have just been arrested. It was totally on him, not the police in this case.
Even better because they were not prejudging him by knowledge his previous crimes and actions. He was shot and killed only because of the criminal stupidity of his actions with the police on that call. That's a plus for the officers and another negative for the dead thug."The arresting officers were not aware of Alton Sterling's record at the time of the shooting."
"I don't think I can say it any better than the United States Attorney said it: There was a thorough, exhaustive and long investigation and it was unanimous," said John McLindon, an attorney representing Salamoni. "Every agent that worked on this case said that there was not enough evidence here to prosecute. That's what I always felt belonged and it was good to hear it from the government."
This is about the time most criminal thugs would stop struggling and surrender. The DOJ detailed explanation of what happened during the 90-second encounter between Salamoni and Officer Howie Lake II and Sterling notes that after an initial struggle Salamoni pulled out his gun and pointed it at Sterling's head in order to get him to place his hands on the hood of a car. An attorney representing the Sterling family said they were told by federal investigators that in that moment Salamoni said, "I'm going to kill you, bitch."
He was just a stupid criminal who committed suicide by cop."If that's on the video, the government didn't feel like it warranted a prosecution," McLindon said, while noting Acting U.S. Attorney Corey Amundson said the government used two national use-of-force experts who also reached the conclusion that federal civil rights charges could not be proven beyond a reasonable doubt.
Sterling was accused of breaking into a woman’s apartment by making a hole in the wall, and then trying to sell her goldfish for $20.
I was being nice to you both times, sort of like helping an old lady across the street while she's ranting about the end of the world. This and the "blond" comment earlier makes you look like your playing to TCM. Light, Camera, Action, take #2.Prosecutors in Pueblo, Colorado are dropping felony drug and weapon-possession charges after an officer involved in the case said he staged body cam footage so he could walk "the courts through" the vehicle search that led to the arrest.
The development means that defendant Joseph Cajar, 36, won't be prosecuted on allegations of heroin possession and of unlawful possession of a handgun. The evidence of the contraband was allegedly found during a search of Cajar's vehicle, which was towed after he couldn't provide an officer registration or insurance during a traffic stop. Officer Seth Jensen said he found about seven grams of heroin and a .357 Magnum in the vehicle at the tow yard. But the actual footage of the search that he produced in court was a reenactment of the search, the officer told prosecutors.
Well then, help this "old lady" again please.I was being nice to you both times, sort of like helping an old lady across the street while she's ranting about the end of the world.
