Iget those car warranty calls, and if I have a bit of time to waste I let them continue , then ZI ask "which car, is it the Corvette or the Ford Pickup?". (two vehicles I have never owned). That ends the call with my saying that they must be a fraud if they don't know.

I used to play those games, especially back in college when I was getting so may. I used to see how long I could string them along and keep them on the phone before they terminated the call. My record was 45 minutes. I've been told that that's just punishing the poor person that's probably getting paid on commission, but frankly I don't care. For outfits that won't adhere to the rules, the only means I have of influencing them is make the lives of their employees so miserable and unproductive that they quit which, if enough people do it, will drive up their overhead costs and force them to be more selective in who they bother.

Plus, when I was twenty, I was able to turn a telemarketing call into a couple of dates with a very sweet and beautiful young lady (she was actually a model), so you never know....
