Exactly, the public today are more naive and willfully ignorant than ever.
That's one way to look at it.

The other is that Musk is the smartest (or most clever) man on earth.

I'll put my money on Musk, as opposed to the naive and ignorant public.

40% of whom now think socialism is a pretty good idea.

I can't take anyone seriously who says "Musk is the smartest (or most clever) man on earth".

By objective results. Yes.
I know of and have read works by quite a few very clever people, Einstein, Russel, Newton and many others. I simply cannot take seriously anyone who'd argue that Musk is cleverer than such people.

He is an example of mass hysteria, selling an image, saying what some people want to hear, if Musk says something it must be true - that's not rationality as I understand the term nor is it clever and when people who aren't clever claim Musk is one of the cleverest people on earth, I have to stop listening.

Smart or not (and I mean intellectually. He's obviously emotionally incapacitated) Musk's a doer. He makes things happen, instead of just dreaming them while laying on his couch. His technologies are changing the world for the better right now and are not just some pie-in-the-sky abstract ideas. That deserves recognition.

The video makes the point that it was Wall Street (banks, brokerages) that was humiliated by being the tail wagged by the big dog. It does not imply ignorance of investors.

Musk snubbing Wall Street in favor of his fans is completely predictable. Wall Street types have given Musk nothing but headaches for years and he has a low regard for them. Why should they, after all, make absurd sums off of his work? If you hand-built yourself a $10M mansion, would you hand over 6% to a realtor to sell it?

That guy needs to adjust his meds and learn to blink occasionally. Yikes.

Good point, perhaps he should start hitting the Ketamine, LSD or ecstasy like Musk does?

Like Ozzy Osbourne, one of my rock heroes would sing on “Sweet Leaf”.
My life was empty, forever on a down
Until you took me, showed me around
My life is free now, my life is clear
I love you, sweet leaf
Though you can't hear

I bought in as a long-term investment, and I don't normally look at short-term moves, but this makes me happy:

Yes, there is, but you have to give it some thought to figure it out, the clue is in the part of my post that you left out.

Keeping your house clean is also a good idea, but using highly toxic chemicals to clean it...probably not so much.

Unlike socialism, there are ways to clean one's house without the use of highly toxic chemicals, including lead.
