What's a radio?
Making a comeback - - - LP's (y'know, those vinyl disks with analog music on them)

The other day my thumb drive that holds all my music to be played through the car radio crashed. I had to upload my music to another "new" TD. For a short while I had to listen to the radio. Chose an oldies station but still found a lot of music I just don't care for. Currently my TD holds 126 songs. It can hold a lot more - but as it is it takes a long time to cycle through all the music and come back around to the beginning. But yes, yesterday I was playing the radio. Prior to that I used YouTube to play music. Was able to choose what to listen to but had to endure commercials between every song. Found that to be a bother. Today I'm back into MY music. Right now Herb Alpert is playing. Before that was Elton John.

My daughter and I visit second-hand vinyl stores a couple of times a month. She's building a nice collection.

I'm an avid consumer of Pandora and Amazon Music. I select a genre, and hear my favorites plus a lot of good stuff I've never heard before. Even new music I didn't know existed!

But yes, yesterday I was playing the radio.
AM talk is the only thing I've listened to on the radio for the last 30 years. But I can't stand listening to the "news" any more, so I quit. News and talk these days is nothing but propaganda and narrative and mostly fake, so I gave it up.

I've invested a couple of thousand dollars in a music studio for my daughter in our livingroom. That's where I get my entertainment these days.

No TV. I hate TV.

Youtube is cool, though.

Though this is the "Jokes" thread, this is a true story. Someone may find it amusing.

This morning I came down to do some laundry. Every day we scoop the liter box and often the cats watch us. This morning, as usual, I was going to scoop the box. However, and here's the part that tickled me - the cats pulled the liter scoop into one of the liter boxes. I guess they were asking for a fresh box.

Also, many years ago I had a cat that didn't like the dark. He would jump up at the light switch in the hallway and hit it, turning the light on. In the middle of the night I'd have to get up and shut it off. Eventually I just flipped the switch upside down. Took him weeks to figure it out. I replaced it with a motion detector but with the bedroom door open, every time you rolled over the hall light would come on. The final solution was to just remove the switch and replace it with a dummy plug. The plug was simply a short circuit which when shorted acted like the light switch. It was attached with a lanyard. He learned to turn the living room light on. Then the kitchen light.

Cats are not dumb. They figure things out.
