A local breakfast place was charging a $3/egg surcharge because of the egg shortage. That turned their $12.99 3-egg omelet into a $21.99 omelet - literally, 3-eggs, a 2-slices of American cheese and about a half potato worth of hash brown. A local news channel estimated the total cost of ingredients were under $1.50 based on recent egg prices at Walmart.com ($2.66/18 eggs).

3 eggs = 45¢
3oz cheese = 75¢
6oz potatoes = 25¢

After the news story, they apologized to their customers for not updating their costs.

Tastes change. What my parents listened to was moldy oldies, what us boomers listen to is geezer rock, what our kids listened to will be that rap crap!
