Yep that's Bahhhstonian beans. We stew em with some smoked pig meat and red pepper. No sugar needed to kill the taste...

Most meats have blood in them. I love Blood sausage but it's hard to find now unless you home make it.

Beans are protein, and not unlike having ham or bacon with your eggs. That falls apart, in my opinion, when the beans are sickly sweet like the canned "baked" beans in the U.S. Refried beans or my home-made baked beans are awesome with breakfast. Give it a go.

It's the blood sausage I struggle with. I liked it fine until I realized what it was.

But they always have huge bangers for breakfast. And beans and beef for dinner is very common.

Yuck I couldn't even stand the smell. His mom would make it. Funny grandma was born in Italy Romanian mom, Italian father. I never remember her making spaghetti. Just that stinky soup. ;) My grandad was Polish so I guess he loved him enough to make it for him. ;)

We had a number of stores around here that sold the blood, Was not all that long ago since they disappeared.

There is a reason why you don't see any English or Polish restaurant chains although I would take them over Thai any day. I actually like blood sausage, borscht, and liver pudding, but not every day or even more than once a year or so. You can keep my Scot ancestors Haggis though.

Eggs & Beans? That's weirder than "Green eggs & ham".
The local famous Pub Pizza is near to me. (google “Linwood Pizza, Randolph MA”). Back in the day, Playboy said the were the best pub pizza in the country. They have a specialty pie, “Boston Baked Bean”. Baked beans and cheese on a thin, pub-style crust. Delicious!

I don't know. Pierogi are big here. I would not exactly call the places a restaurant though. Sort of a pierogi version of a pizza shop or take out Chinese. They will often have otehr Polish dishes and baked goods. Though a couple of regular restaurants are opening. But you are right not chains.

So big we have a pierogi race at the ballpark.

50 million flies dine on - um - you know. Maybe I'm the weird one here, but beans on a pizza doesn't strike me as something I'd choose without some serious goading. But then again, what's a bean burrito but a bean and cheese meal wrapped in a soft (pizza) tortilla. So maybe it's better than I can imagine.

I know there are lots of Poles in PA since my Kolbeck buddies were from there, but I usually think midwest. One of the best meals I ever had was outside of Chicago at a middle European restaurant that had a buffet that even had blood sausage on it. I love Anchovies on Pizza but you can keep the pineapple, kale, spinach, eggs and I'll add beans to that list.

I bought a chair last week. Took it home. The next morning there was a table in its place. Later I went into the room and the chair was back. That night it was a footstool. I took it back to the store and complained. He said "What did you expect? You bought an occasional chair."
