The "again" in "make America great again" means he wants to take us to a condition that we've had before.

Most certainly do. This country was far better off before the liberals tried to have their way.
What was so wrong with that.... "condition we had before"? We weren't on the verge of becoming a socialist country. Who in their right mind can honestly say they are better off today compared to how it was prior to obama.

Your say, "Now the trick is to get an anti-regulatory regime to increase regulations."

In regards to the Oakland situation it is a matter of enforcing regulations.
We are a country of laws. Something that seems to have been forgotten with the liberal pukes that have been running (and ruining) this country. The Dems put up a woman that by all rights should have been indited and not make a run for the presidency. How does that make sense?

Ha, the republicans are the ones who have decimated all money required to ENFORCE regulations. It is the first part of any agency that gets cut. Call Trump and let him know how to move forward. Good luck.

The republicans are the ones who have decimated all money" What happened to obama's billions of dollars that was earmarked for those "Shovel Ready Jobs". Where did that go? What do we have to show for that money.
All wasted.

Money to.... "money required to ENFORCE regulations" What regulations? Oh, must be all those regs that obama signed into law with his executive orders. Regulations that have restricted the ability for businesses to grow and prosper. How much money is spent (wasted) on regulations that support the influx of illegal immigration that is taking place under the obama administration. How much of our tax dollars have been wasted on a failed health care system that no one can afford. That is unless you are form some 3rd world country and are here for just the free handouts. It was bad enough when that came across the southern border. but now thanks to obama (and it would have been hillary) they fly them into the U.S.by the plane loads from the middle east. She wanted a 500% increase in syrians. How does that make sense?

I've got far better things to do than to try and talk sense to brain washed liberals. The Dems lost for a reason.
It seems that all the Real Red Blooded Americans have finally to come back to their senses.

Trump was not my choice but he was a far better choice that anything the dems put out there. At least now there is some hope for the country of ours. Everything would have been far worse under hillary and America realized that.
Have you looked at any one of those "Red/Blue" maps? Those tell the real story as to where the country is now headed.

(From the Trump website)
It's more about making the regulations more relevant to what does affect us negatively. Get rid of bad one and replace it with a good one that serves us not hinders us.

Ha, maps showing thousands of square miles of Montana with 200 ranchers is a bit deceptive. Keep looking at it that way if you desire to be deceived.

Actually it was more tens of thousands of small town communities with populations of 100's to 10,s of thousands each spread over millions of square miles of many states that did it. ;)

Fear the tiny insignificant men and women from flyover country. Without them if you don't own land and know how to use it you don't get food and that other stuff you need to survive on at prices you can afford to live on. :D

That used to be the story but each year, ADM and Cargill lease and buy millions more acres that are harvested by contract laborors. ADM and Cargill collect the government subsidies for the harvest at the end of the season.

I'll come to the defense of Oakland the City because I lived and worked there long before the bohemian anarchists started to invade the place because of high rents across the bay. The local administration has been shell-shocked by these people and the type of violence they have used in the city during protests. The Oakland of old was more of a typical city with typical city problems but these anarchists types can go out of of control for any stupid reason so the city is afraid to do anything to get them upset. I hope this is a wake-up call for the good citizens of Oakland to kick these fools back to SF or Berkeley.

Didn't you get any money? Maybe you just forgot. Did you spend it. Bet you did.
Wasted money is the Iraq war. What did we get for that besides ISIS and a yuge credit card bill.

I don't get this argument. When was the last time you priced private insurance. Is it cheaper? Do you have it?

10 or 12,000 since 2010 so another 500,000 by 2022? We probably couldn't get that many if we tried (we already have extreme vetting). But even if we did, so what. We will allow 6 million from other places during that time.

Trump was not my choice but he was a far better choice that anything the dems put out there. At least now there is some hope for the country of ours. Everything would have been far worse under hillary and America realized that.

No the real thing is that Hillary had 2.5 million more votes. I'm not advocating getting rid of the electoral college, but those cute little maps don't tell you much about where the country is headed.

So they can feed like ~10 million people operating at near 100% land usage? What's the other 150+ million poor starving city folks going to do for food and who's going to deliver it when the majority of the truckers and railroads go with the farmers and other rural production operations like central electrical power stations and mining shut down? o_O

No supply means nothing to transport. It's a vicious domino effect when rural america goes off line.

Hey, I'll eat the pork I pay for and I'm sure the farm laborors are going to spend their profits on something too. The money just keeps turning and with no demand, there is no profit or fun for anyone.

Therein lies the problem. Rural America also can't survive without blue America. I prefer to look at the problem as the Military Industrial Congressional complex.

Thanks Ron. My lower jaw was still hanging limp at the thought I was better off before Obama took office than I am now. I think the GOP may have been putting
Histone deacetylase inhibitor in the KoolAid at the rallies. (See image and link below for details)

So many people forget how bad things were and the importance of keeping the cash flow going. I hope Trump doesn't start building his economic policy on a sand foundation like Bush. Granted, Bush's dad and Bill Clinton started blowing the bubble but Little Bush (Shrub?) blew it out of the water and tried to kill funding for the SEC and other financial enforcement/audit teams at the same time.

How so?
By a wide margin us rural people are the most capable of going full closed loop self sustainment with the least difficulty. Our money works just fine amongst ourselves and the vast majority of goods we need to survive comfortably come from our own rural regions of every state.

Food, water, electrical production, oil, coal, financial institutions, service industry, transportation. If we don't have to produce products to support millions of city people our lives become so much simpler cheaper and easier to handle.
Farmers do not have to farm anywhere near the acreages they do. Electrical generation systems have far less load to supply, rural water resources that are tapped into to serve cities are freed up, oil and gas production and refining requirements drop way off.

To be honest form a life long lived rural citizen the urban half of our populations kinda a parasite on our collective backs.

So what exactly do the blue areas have that we can not produce or manage locally ourselves that we cannot live without?

True, but the factories in the city can make carpet bombs.

Pretty sure explosives manufacturers are in rural locations as well.
That and what exactly does carpet bombing rural areas accomplish? We are by definition few and far between out here! :p

Carpet bombing us is like tying it kill ants in a field with fire crackers. You'll go broke and die of starvation before you put a dent in the overall population considering that there are around 31,000 small towns in they US of which the majority of them have close ties to the rest of the rural populations that the large urban centers do not.

There's not much in the ofensive or retaliatory sense the large urban populations can do to us that in itself wont just lead to them just cutting their own throats faster.
