Spotted at a low budget redneck "zoo/safari." What rating would you speculate? I would say it's approaching NEMA4/4X. In case you can't see, they have the PA system mounted in an igloo ice chest. I've considered mounting electronics in a Pelican case to cut costs, but this takes the cake.

Well, my Igloo collects rain water when I keep it outside -- with the lid closed. Maybe it's defective.

 

Never mind. After seeing this guy's wiring, I no longer trust his choice of enclosure.

 

I think we need to look at the fine line difference between weather proof and weather resistant.

The design looks innovative and surely reflects ingenuity tightly woven with creativity. The jeep wiring also looks to code. Notice the considerable air space around the wires for cooling in free air. The brake pedal allows for direct shoe leather to metal pedal with no rubber on the pedal to slip off of. Simply an engineering marvel to behold.
