...... 42, according to the supercomputer Deep Thought in Douglas Adams' novel 'The Hitchhiker's Guide'.
It certainly is the answer in the following examples :-
1) How many days are there in 6 weeks?
2) What is 3 stone in pounds?
3) How many days does it take for a 1 Watt load to use 1 unit of mains electricity?

Any other examples?

What is "1 unit of mains electricity"?

I don't consider either 41.67 days or to be the same as 42.

But then I don't consider 42 days or 42 lb to be the same as 42 (a pure number).

42 is the answer to an infinite number of questions.

But is the number of questions to which 42 is the answer countable, or uncountable?

My suspicion is that it is uncountable. But even if it is, it is still far from universal.
