Test bench software question

Wondering if there is a way to make a software program for computer for testing instrument clusters. I have been working on automotive clusters and can test with scan tool.. But recently a lot of people have been asking for tractor and garden tractor clusters to get fixed. I would like to repair them also to expand. Right now I still have a job but would love to make this full time thing. I was watching a youtube video of someone testing a John Deere cluster with some program. I don't think its a dealer thing. But could you all point me in right direction of where to buy, or help set up software and what kind of interface it would have to be. This is a link to the video it is under 2 mins. Thanks in advance
