Hello,
can you help me solve this? Eliminating the clicking sound from a single TDA 2030 amplifier, especially when I increase the bass gain volume, I'm using,(30V, 5A).
Thank you.
More details please. Is the clicking while you are adjusting the bass gain?? Or after you have increased it? Does it happen only while music is playing, or constantly without any music playing?? What we need to know is more clearly what conditions cause the clicking.
Is the amplifier new, or have you been using it for a while and all at once this is a new problem??
Obsolete would not matter even if it applied. And until we have more information as to the details of the circumstances of the "clicking" sound, a schematic diagram does not seem to be able to provide any assistance. The sound could be simply a control needing a shot of control cleaning fluid, or even a failed solder connection.
I mentioned "obsolete" (the original ST Micro product sold in The West at Digikey) because if the IC was defective then it is difficult to find a replacement today.
The TDA2030 and TDA2030A were invented by ST Micro and are no longer made by them.
The TDA2030A had a higher max supply voltage (44V) instead of the 36V for the original TDA2030 and the TDA2030A had a much lower typical distortion (0.08%) than the TDA2030 (0.5%).
The supply voltage is important because the newer IC (the A version) has a higher max supply voltage than the older one. Maybe the clicking (when the supply voltage is high) is why the A version replaced the original version.
First, we need a much more detailed description of both the sound and under what conditions it is produced. Otherwise we are just guessing with no clues.
