Hello there!

I recently bought 2 TCRT5000's for my hihat controller. I bought 2 to make sure I had a spare one if something went wrong.

I tried this myself and found out that one LED lights up really low and the other sensor lights up really bright. I assume this could be a faulty.

I used 4.8V but with both sensors the 2nd LED (on the module) doesn't light up when I try out the sensor itself.

Hopefully someone knows what's going on. I personally think it would be weird if both are faulty, so I'm probably doing something wrong.

P.S. I turned both potentiometers to max and also tried the lowest, but it doesn't change anything since the sensor itself doesn't do anything I assume

 

Oh just when I posted it, I found the issue. I put the power behind the jack, so it didn't get enough I assume.

The other one with the low LED still doesn't work though so I think that one's still broken sadly

 

Just for info it wasn't that, I don't know what it was exactly but I got it working now
