Hi, I must design a synchronous up/down counter from 2 to 6.
I've introduced a variable called M to change it from down to up. I've done the truth table, karnaugh maps and obtain truth functions, but I can't do it with all the IC's my college gave me.
Am I wrong with something? I'm using 2 flipflop 7476, one 7404, two 7408 and two 7436.
Thanku so much.

You only posted half of the Kmaps and your handwriting is so sloppy that it's difficult to read. You started using Y to designate outputs, then you started using Q. You sometimes draw your 1's with a hat, and sometimes don't. Some of the boxes in the Kmaps are empty, but you use them in groupings. Sometimes you use 'X' for don't care, sometimes it's '-', and sometimes it's '*'.

Your paper had grid lines; use them. Neatness counts in this field.

Your schematic needs improvement too. I'm not even going to try reading it.

Don't make us figure out why your solution isn't meeting requirements. If you have limits on what gates you can use, tell us how your design violates it. Don't make us go through counting things or even looking up what those specific ICs contain.

Hello,

I tried to make the posted images a bit more readable with the GIMP:

The images do not have enough information to make clearer images as these.
