Hello, I want to connect a mp3 player to one speaker, and choose in AVR which channel will be played.
I tried to do this on NPN transistor, but with no luck. I also have an analog multiplexer HCF4053B, but I don't know if it will be good and how to connect that.

What signal level are you trying to switch and what DC power do you have available?

 

I want to switch between right and left audio channel. The voltage on channel is ~800-1000mV, but I will probably use an amp, because the sound is too quiet. Everything will be powered from 5V.

 

I believe there are some audio chanel switching IC's, search mouser and digikey.
