Switch between two power sources

Hello,

My problem is that I want to switch between two different power sources, each source is 12v but the difference is one source is always giving power.
The other only half a minute.

The switch is to control my led lights in my car.
The two sources are, one from my battery and the other from my light circuit.

So if I set the switch to half a minute, then the lights only turn on when I open my door. If the switch is on continuous power, it will remain on when the rest of the standard lights go out.

Is there a (small) switch for it, or can I make a simple circuit for this problem?

I don't understand exactly what you're trying to do, but you can make a high side switching circuit with minimal parts. It would have a p channel mosfet, a n channel mosfet, and a few resistors. I can show you a simple circuit if I understand what you want to do. Do you mean you want one power source to control the other in some way?
